A stay in the forest gives fresh energy for body and soul. A night in the forest is a unique experience for all the senses; look into the treetops, observe the forest dwellers, smell the scent of the forest, hear the chirping of the birds and feel the pleasant wind on your skin.
The nearby Englstenalp with the romantic Engstlensee is one of the best-known places of power in Switzerland. This unique mountain lake invites you to linger, walk or take a refreshing swim. The area offers numerous activities and impressive sights. We have created an overview for you under “Frequently Asked Questions”.
The Bubble Suite is particularly suitable for a romantic stay and for everyone who wants to leave their everyday life behind and clear their heads.

Availability
The Bubble Suite is bookable from May to October.
Price per night
CHF 269 for 2 persons/night incl. breakfast
Plus parking and use of private road CHF 8.-.
Plus visitor's tax CHF 2.80.- per person/night
On request, dinner or candlelight dinner can be ordered directly at the Restaurant Wagenkehr. Payment is made on the spot.
Dogs are welcome and may stay overnight free of charge. Please note the following points:

Please bring your own food and bowl. No crockery from us may be used for this purpose.

Please do not leave urine or faeces traces in and around the bubble suite.

Dogs are not allowed to stay on our beds, blankets, woollen blankets or on our emergency sleeping mats. Please bring your own blanket and pad.

There is basically no possibility to lock up the dog.

The Bubble Suite is located in the middle of the forest, just below the Wagenkehr restaurant (approx. 100m away). The Bubble Suite stands alone and is protected in the forest and is embedded in a unique mountain scenery.

The Wagenkehr restaurant is located at the beginning of a private road that leads to Engstlenalp. A parking lot is available.
At the end of the Gental in the Bernese Oberland lies the Engstlenalp with the unique Engstlensee, which borders the cantons of Obwalden and Nidwalden. This wild alpine valley is surrounded by an impressive mountain backdrop and numerous waterfalls. The Engstlenalp offers some hiking opportunities and is also interesting for mountain bikers. In summer, for example, the Engstlensee can be hiked as part of the 4-lake high-altitude hike between Melchsee-Frutt and Engelberg.
Arrival- Departure
The Bubble Suite can be booked from early May to mid-October.
Check-in is from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Check-in after 6 p.m. is possible on request. Please contact Restaurant Wagenkehr directly.
After the booking has been completed, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. Please print this out and bring it with you when you arrive and hand it in at the Wagenkehr
Check-out is by 11:00 a.m. at the latest.
The Bubble Suite can be reached from Meiringen, Inntertkirchen with the Engstlenalp bus (Note the timetable), by car or on foot. The narrow private road to Gental is located between Innertkirchen and Sustenpass.
The Weggenossenschaft Mühletahl-Engstlenalp charges a road fee of CHF 8.-.

dinner
A fine dinner or a simple candlelight dinner can be ordered on site at the Restaurant Wagenkehr for a surcharge. Payment for this is also made on site.
Bring along
Packing list
♡ Pocket lamp or headlamp!
We recommend clothing suitable for the weather and good shoes, rain jacket and umbrella if necessary, toothbrush, small pharmacy for personal needs.
♡ In cold temperatures, we also recommend a headband or cap and warm socks for sleeping.
♡ Powerbank (There is no electricity in the bubble suite.)
♡ Drinks & food (if not booked)
♡ Small change for the visitor's tax
Please note that you are at 1'200 m.a.s.l. and the temperatures can get chilly at night, especially in spring and autumn. We therefore recommend that you pack an extra jumper and pair of warm socks.
